Giant Rubber Duck in Hongkong Victoria Harbour

IMAG3019

May 2, 2013 my fifth day in Hongkong and we decided to take a walk to Victoria Harbour to see the night lights. We notice at the Star Ferry port lots of people crowding up in the side. We saw bunch of big and small sizes ducks saying its Project Rubber Duckie.

Upon looking further there’s a 54-feet inflatable Giant Rubber Duck. It’s art installation by Dutch artist Florentijn Hofman. Thousands of people lined up along the harbor, striving to get a good view of the art piece.

We were lucky to have this chance to take photos with it as the new city’s latest attraction. Thee 54-foot Giant rubber duck made its grand entrance into Hongkong’s Victoria Harbour this Thursday, May 2, 2013. As Victoria Harbour are one of the world’s busiest ports.

The art installation won’t be permanent attraction of Hongkong. The Giant Rubber Duck will be on display until June 9, 2013 only. After that it will be heading to its next destination in where people will adore and what I can say “Cutie”.

The Giant Rubber Duck has appeared in several locations like Osaka, Sydney, and other parts of the world. Seeing the Giant Duck made people unleash that childhood that once we have playing with our rubber ducky.

Project Rubber Duck

Along the harbour are replica ducks in both big and small where people can take photos with it. It would be nice to have this large duck along with me while taking a bath. hehehe!!! You can see that all the people viewing the Giant Rubber Duck are so excited to see it.
