Lootbagger claimed my prize

McCormick Grill Nation Nuffnang Blog winners

Just recently I joined the Nuffnang Philippines McCormick Blog contest and one of the lucky  5 winners to get five (5) passes to McCormick Grill Nation Event from our “McCormick Grill Nation. Originally the contest states only four (4) passes but in the email we will be getting five (5) passes instead. The five winners will be receiving McCormick Grill Nation kit and a special gift.

My family had a get-together and the reason I arrived at the event late. The event already finished the time I arrived and I plan to  just claim my gift packs instead.   Upon talking to the registration people told me someone already claimed my 4 gift packs and the special gift that had my name on the paper bag. I told her that I never authorize or sent someone to claim in my behalf. I asked her who is this person and upon checking her list there’s no indicated name written. She only remember this person registered and even bought McCormick products. She can’t even  identify if this person is also a blogger.

I also told her why would I be claiming my gift packs if I already sent someone to claim it. I told her our names are posted in Nuffnang blog and all the bloggers who joined would really know who won. I also told her there are people who would take advantage would tell they are representative, invited, authorized and will be using other people name just to get in an event. I also told her that if I will sending someone I always make sure I will directly tell the PR or any person in-charge and giving the name of the person as my correspondent.

While thinking who this person who got my gift packs I checked my cellphone and I received a text message to this person “asan ka? nasa akin yung prize mo sa mccormick”. That’s the only time got to check my phone because earlier my cellphone out of battery. I told the girl the person claimed my prize text me and the prize was with her. I asked that I should be getting 5 gift packs. I have 1 remaining gift pack not claimed. She told me yes I may get the remaining gift pack.

Upon arriving home and checking the gift pack it has 5 grill mix, apron, recipe booklet and Garlic Bread Spread.

My 5th McCormick Grill Nation Kit – Apron, 5 Grill mixes, Grill recipe booklet, Korean fried chicken spicy mix, Garlic Bread Spread

If you could notice my 5th pack has a bread spread but the 4 packs I got from mommy la**** doesn’t have the bread spread. I don’t know why and how it happened. The only I can say I got my 5th pack the event was already packing up.

My concerns:

  1.  Why McCormick even allowed this person to claim my token without any proper authorization letter and id. What if someone I don’t really know had claimed my token. “Pasensya na lang ba ako!!”
  2. Why would this blogger think of claiming my prize without my consent?

I don’t know if I’m the only one who had experienced this but just recently I had talked to a fellow bloggers and told me almost the same incident the only difference she / he was just far away to hear her/his name called. When the time she/he was notified this person already got the prize and told “kinuha ko lang para syo”. What if nobody told the person she / he had won and that person got the items?

Oh I just remembered I attended one event that this person was assigned to coordinate to attending bloggers. The event was held at the BGC open parking. During the event it was starting to rain so my fellow blogger decided to leave. We we’re informed that this blogger got our token but none was given to us nor we are informed by these blogger. The person who invited us apologized what happened at the event and would “make bawi na lang” to future events.

I have mixed emotion’s about this situation and the person involved. Thank you and I am angry because I all stressed out about the situation.

Nagsisimula pa lang ako magblog madami na feedback about this person. Mommy sya with successful kids in their studies. Meron naman sya work at kahit nga oras ng work nakakapag event sya.

We can talk casually about events and blogging pero personal eh ibang usapan na. I don’t know kung ok lang syo ganyan ang tinggin nila syo or your living your title as a queen of watever they call you.

Pero I decided not to post her name and giving her the chance to change.

– anonymous

Kayo ba nakaranas ng ganitong scenario? Ano nagyari at ano ginawa nyo?
