Film Development Council of the Philippines (FDCP) in partnership with National Historical Commission of the Philippines (NHCP) teams up for the first documentary film showcase in the Philippines.
FDCP Chairperson and CEO Mary Liza Dino and NHCP Chief History Researcher Alvin R. Alcid will be present to discuss about the newest joint project.
During our interview
Ms. Liza Dino shared with us that these documantary film will also serve as reference for teachers and students. We all know in this digital age everyone is into watching videos that reading a book. We then to absorb well thru visual than reading. Let’s admit some of the documentation about our history have different versions making the original story forgotten.
This aims to empower documentary filmmaking and filmmakers in the country. With the words sine (film) and saysay (meaning), the program combines the power and beauty of filmmaking with meaningful and real stories of our people, society, and the world.
