The models will be available in two variant: the lightweight Satellite P50 with full-powered Intel® Core™ i7 Quad-core processor and touch-friendly Satellite P50t with 10-point touch support. First Gaming notebook PC with Ultra HD support
“With the new Performance Series Satellite P series, we’re proving once again our dedication to serving discerning PC users with the ultimate in HD entertainment and the latest multimedia features for gaming,” said Ms Wong Wai Meng, Senior Manager of Product Marketing at Toshiba Singapore Pte Ltd, Digital Products & Services Group. The new P-series offers future-oriented features, such as an Ultra HD (UHD) support via HDMI®-out port on some models. This converts and outputs UHD content from the PC to an external UHD-capable TV, such as the Toshiba REGZA RZ1 Glasses-free 3D TV. In such situations, users can now, enjoy a brand new generation of computer games that were originally created in UHD at a resolution four times higher than conventional Full HD. Still pictures and videos made in UHD stored on the laptop can also be enjoyed in their full brilliance. Thanks to high-performance processors with dedicated graphics, all P-series models are ideal for demanding applications such as PC games with fast changing settings or editing home videos in HD quality.

The Satellite P series comes in the new unified Toshiba product design with its smooth, rounded edges and distinctive power button. The Satellite P50t version is equipped with a convenient and intuitive edge-to-edge Full HD touchscreen with ten-point touch and swipe support. All versions come with an enlarged click touchpad that is ideal for intuitively navigating through the Windows 8 interface with finger movements without using a touchscreen. The premium quality of the new Satellite P-series is further emphasized by its attractive brushed aluminum silver finish with chrome accents on the lid. The tiled, frameless backlit LED keyboard aids convenient text input, even in low light conditions.
