Metro Alabang newest store at South Metro Manila

Metro Store is now fast expanding its retail store now in the area of Metro Manila. Metro is one of the leading retail store in Cebu and owned by a private family corporation, Viscal Development Corporation (VISCAL). Here in Manila they already have successfully opened Metro Market! Market in Bonifacio Global City (BGC) and the Metro Market just recently opened at Lucky Chinatown Mall in Binondo. They plan at the end of 2012 they will open three more stores total of 21 stores.

Metro Alabang as the the company’s 18th store just recently opened August 19, 2012. Its now the premier store at Alabang Town Center (ATC), operated by the the Alabang Commercial Corporation, a subsidiary of Ayala Land, Inc.

GRAND OPENING FESTIVITIES

While waiting for the press conference to start we are offered by Mr. CJ Jesena the VP Marketing and Retail Development of Metro Alabang one of Cebu Best the Belgian Chocolate-Dipped Dried Mango Strips. We my son like it so much we can’t resist of getting a few more while waiting. It’s different way of eating dried mango’s that you will want more.

During the opening we are provided Treasure Zone Passbooks, Metro Eco-bag and a treasure map “Discover the NEW METRO STORE”. The treasure map is where we get to discover 12 zones located throughout the 4 store level. We are given the task to find those 12 zones and is required our Treasure Zone Passbooks to be stamped everytime we visit a Treasure Zone. That after completed the stamps for all the zones, we are entitled to join the raffle.

Once you want to take a break from your grocery errands you can sit back and take a break at the Metro Gourmet. Metro F&B Division Manager Clare Tan shares that Metro Gourmet will savor the taste of any shoppers of Europe.

What I like most of Metro Alabang they have this section where you can find the most famous Cebu Lechon that is flown in daily from Cebu. You can order by kilo or whole for your events and parties. They also this “puso” or hanging rice or top it off with other Cebu delicacies, such as Mandaue Bibingka and other sweets treats.
