Last April 25th, Cece Smith Clothing officially launched at Opus in Newport Mall, Resorts World on a hot summer night. The free-flowing Lychee Martinis and Cosmopolitans made the night even better for the dozen models that were there to strut the latest collection: S/S Collection 2012 – Safari Funk + Bohemian Blossom – A Luv Affair
As hot & humid as the Philippines is, it was such a delight that Opus was fully equipped with the best air conditioning. The guests were truly treated like royalty. One would forget that they were in a tropical humid country. The fashion show was short and simple and highlighted the funky and distinct designs of Agee Dee, Cece Smith’s designer and owner. With a range of mini and maxi dresses in jersey to sheer to intricately detailed fabrics to minimalist cover-ups, pants and shorts to multi-dimensional swimsuits – Cece Smith’s signature use of fresh hues, striking prints and diverse silhouettes provides the fashion forward woman with pieces that can be worn on varied occasions, on the beach and in the city, from day to night.
The event was hosted by the Master of Ceremonies Martin De Vera. The fashion show was accompanied with a live performance by Chelo Aestrid, also one of the models. And of course, the night started and ended with great music by guest DJ’s- DJ NixdamnP & DJ Jena.
It was indeed a summer luv affair with fashion and music. If you weren’t there, then you most definitely missed out.
