Cementing its position in designing advanced, high-performing laptops with PC gamers in mind, Toshiba Singapore Digital Products & Service Group announced the Performance Series Qosmio X70 today as its latest top-of-the-range laptop. It is targeted at ‘heavy users’ who want highest computing performance and speed rates, sublime computer graphics, excellent sound and multimedia capacities as well as the most advanced connectivity features. The new gaming laptop will be available throughout South and South East Asia from June 2013 onwards.
Fastest and most vivid gaming
“At Toshiba we have a reputation to maintain when it comes to serving the most demanding laptop PC users, like our PC gamers,” said Ms Wong Wai Meng, Senior Manager of Product Marketing at Toshiba Singapore, Digital Products & Service Group. “The new Qosmio X70 achieves this in every sense. It is packed with the best components and latest technology available for this high-end segment and comes with a large 17.3” Full HD display. This laptop is the ideal replacement for any powerful desktop PC.” With a choice of the latest 4th generation Intel® Quad Core™ processors and dedicated NVIDIA® GeForce® GTX 770M graphics with 3GB of GDDR5 memory, the Qosmio X70 executes heavy-duty multiple tasks easily. Even the fastest and most vivid gameplay and action scenes are smooth and bright thanks to a display response time of just 8ms. This powerful device also makes the grade when the key priority is serious content creation, such as video and photo editing, due to its optimal PC graphics performance.
Instant access to heavy applications and multimedia
Another top-class specification of the new Qosmio X70 is its generous data storage capacity. The Qosmio X70 offers a choice of a 1TB plus ultra-fast mSATA 256GB SSD memory or a Hybrid HDD (1TB + 8GB flash SDD) that allows for fast application loading. The system is further fuelled by up to 32GB of RAM capacity, results in almost instant access to the heaviest applications and multimedia files, and enables smooth multitasking between highly-demanding computer operations as well as fast boot up times.
To further enhance the multimedia experience, the pre-installed TOSHIBA Resolution+ software up-converts movies and videos created in standard definition to HD quality. In addition the Qosmio X70 is also equipped with an Ultra HD supporting HDMI®-out port that up-converts and outputs Ultra HD content such as PC games, still pictures, movies or videos from the PC to an external Ultra HD capable TV. Thanks to Intel® WiDi*, users are able to wirelessly transfer any game and multimedia stored on the Qosmio X70 to a compatible big screen TV set or mobile phone.
Distinctive premium design and sound
The sound reproduction of the new Qosmio X70 is powered by four harman kardon® stereo speakers with 6Watt music output tuned with the DTS Studio Sound™ flagship solution suite, which delivers immersive surround sound, remarkable bass, intelligent volume levelling and dialog enhancement. This impressive multimedia solution means that users can enjoy TV shows, movies and televised concerts to the max.
In the all new Black Cavalier design, the Qosmio X70 is styled in a design in line with the rest of the range, with easily recognisable elements such as smooth rounded edges, a bold, illuminated power button and a logo positioned to the left under the display. It also carries the distinguished, premium looks of the Toshiba Qosmio range. These are characterised by the use of a distinctive red aluminium colour, an illuminated Qosmio logo on the lid and a brushed aluminium dark silver design that appears when the laptop is opened. The tiled, frameless keyboard is illuminated in red, enabling convenient text input and navigation even in low light conditions – just what gamers need.
Intelligent Features for Smarter Computing
The new Qosmio X70 sports a variety of smart technologies, including Toshiba Sleep & Music that allows users to utilize the premium speakers to enjoy music even while the laptop is powered down. It also offers dual USB Sleep & Charge ports that enable users to charge their USB-powered devices while the system is sleeping or powered off. The system also features an HDMI® interface that makes it possible to stream 3D content stored on the laptop or on an optical disc directly to a 3D-TV, enabling users to enjoy 3D games or videos on the large TV screen. In addition, it is able to add the third dimension to 2D content and to stream the 3D rendered film to a connected 3D-TV.
