Just yesterday during our way home and while stuck in traffic where listening to the radio they come with a topic discussing the Hot Air Balloon Fiesta. They were asking why there is no Philippine Hot Air Balloon Festival this year. That often almost year after year would celebrate that almost all the people will come and have fun.
The answer with that that Philippine International Hot Air Balloon Fiesta Organizing Committee is just finalizing in where the next festival will be held. In addition, to clarify its disassociation from another organization staging a balloon event in Lubao, Pampanga to decide not to held the fiesta this year.
The 19th Philippine International Hot Air Balloon Fiesta will be held next year February 12 – 15, 2015 at Clark Field Pampanga.
Memorandum Signing at Asian Air Safari Hangar
We were lucky to be invited in the memorandum signing by Bases Conversion and Development Authority (BCDA) president Arnel Casanova, Clark Development Corporation (CDC) president Arthur Tugade, Clark International Airport Corporation (CIAC) president and chief executive office Victor Jose Luciano, and Philippine International Hot Air Balloon Foundation Inc. (PIHABF) president Capt. Joy Roa at the Asian Air Safari hangar in Pasay City.
In having a MOA signing this is the sign that Philippine International Hot Air Balloon Fiesta is here to stay and will bring our country in the map in where tourist will surely visit. The Balloon Fiesta will be flocked by enthusiasts and professionals all over the world.
During the MOA signing the new PIHABF poster was presented to the media for the upcoming 19th festival. Our very own Filipino Artist Manuel Baldemor who is internationally known in designing some of UNICEF cards designs the 19th Philippine International Hot Air Fiesta poster.
What we can expect for the coming 19th Philippine International Hot Air Balloon Fiesta?
- Bigger display of local aviation schools for increased public awareness.
- There will be a rally in the air of private airplanes and helicopters displaying their flying and navigational skills.
- Ultralight and microlight aircraft performance and fun flying competition
- Kite flying
- Radio control fliers – Electric and Turbine jets coming from different regions.
- Sky Diving Demonstrations
- Aerobatic Formation Team – will demonstrate heart-stopping aerobatic show
